Introduction

Welcome to W.E.B. Du Bois Academy and our primary school Cincinnati Speech and Reading Intervention Center. Our family centered community school is committed to addressing the needs of the “Whole Child”, recognizing their differences and meeting each student’s unique needs academically, physically, mentally and socially. With the support of dedicated, High Qualified Teachers, Special Education Instructors, Intervention Specialists, Curriculum Specialist, school counselor and two Educational Leaders; we consistently provide the support students need to achieve their highest potential. Our motto, “Empowering Success through Excellence in Education” is the foundation on which we build our mission and vision for all students. We believe that all students can learn given the right environment and instruction.

There are many opportunities for parents and interested adults to become involved with our school through volunteer efforts and by joining our very active PTA. We also welcome corporate partnerships.

2007 - 2008 School Year No students / families opted for PSC this year. Cincinnati Speech and Reading Intervention Center was not required to offer SES this year.

2008-2009 School Year 162 eligible students for PSC and SES. SES participant information is to be determined. The school can serve 7 students with SES this year. No students / families opted for PSC. The SES service providers list can be found at the ODE website www.ode.state.oh.us
